'Our new home on Android' : Major Facebook announcement next week

SAN FRANCISCO -- Android users may be about to get some good news from Facebook.
The giant social network is holding an event at its Menlo Park, Calif., headquarters next week. The invitation simply reads: "Come see our new home on Android."
Could it be that Facebook is ready to show the world a new version of Android with loads of Facebook-friendly features? Is it possible that this new version will come on an HTC handset?
A Facebook spokesman declined to comment. But it's quite possible -- even likely -- that Facebook is about to make a major product announcement, TechCrunch says.
"Imagine Facebook’s integration with iOS 6, but on steroids, and built by Facebook itself," TechCrunch writer Josh Constine said.
Facebook has been taking Android very seriously. It has encouraged its software developers to ditch their iPhones for Android phones. The practice in Silicon Valley is called "dogfooding" -- as in eating your own dog food.
Facebook has been rolling out major announcements. Earlier this month it summoned the media to its campus to unveil a major redesign of the News Feed. In January, it rolled out Graph Search.

Smokey Robinson to release album of duets this fall

Smokey Robinson is getting in on the duets album action.

Following his appearance Wednesday night on "American Idol," the R&B legend announced Thursday that he's to release a set of all-star duets this fall through the Verve Music Group. The album will join a rash of such collections, including recent efforts from Tony Bennett, Reba McEntire and Lionel Richie. Paul Anka has one due out next month, while John Fogerty will unveil his in May.

But wait!
"Unlike any other duet-themed project produced to date," a statement insists, "this unique album will include all hits written by Robinson," and that certainly seems true enough: Pop & Hiss can't recall another duets record filled only with Robinson's songs.
The singer's guests for the project haven't been announced, though we're promised "a celebrated roster of contemporary and classic artists whose influence will span the depth of Robinson's stellar 50-plus-year career." (Let's hope 2 Chainz made the cut.) Among the songs slated to appear are "My Girl," "Cruisin' " and "The Tears of a Clown."
In an interview last year Robinson told Pop & Hiss that he was at work on several other projects, including a follow-up to his handsome 2006 standards set, "Timeless Love," as well as a set of Spanish-language material.
Robinson's last studio album, "Time Flies When You're Having Fun," came out in 2009. Listen to his typically silky take on Norah Jones' "Don't Know Why" below.

Robert Pattinson Missed Kristen Stewart While In Australia

“Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson came in here on Friday just like a normal couple buying groceries,” an eyewitness at Lassens’ Natural Foods & Vitamins in Los Feliz revealed to jigarenjoywithme.blogspot.com. “They looked really happy, smiling, holding hands. They bought a bag of organic fuji apples and a bunch of other items. They came in the late afternoon and again just seemed like cool, down to earth people.”

Why I Won’t Work With Rob & Kristen Again : Stephenie Meyer

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart won’t be starring in anymore Stephenie Meyer movies. The talented author, responsible for the Twilight franchise, caught up with HollywoodLife.com at The Cinema Society & Jaeger-LeCoultre screening of The Host, at NYC’s Tribeca Grand Hotel. It was there that she revealed her next steps with Robsten!

Will Stephenie Work With Rob & K-Stew Again

We asked Stephenie, the author of The Host, if she could ever see herself working with the Twilight duo again.
“I would want to do [another project] without them,” she told us. “I would do the next one with a whole new group because we had such a good experience.”
That actually does make a lot of sense. But we would give our right arm to see another Twilight installment or even something else with them in it!
Stephenie went on to tell us how The Host is different from Twilight,” she says: “It’s definitely fun. It’s great to move away from vampires. This is a whole other world. A whole new aspect. Its fresh.”

Rob & Kristen’s Romantic Golf Date In LA

We told you that Rob flew back from Australia to surprise K-Stew after 64 days apart. Now they’ve been together nonstop. Most recently, Robsten were spotted golfing and even kissing on the course, near their Los Feliz home.

‘Downton Abbey’ Star Regrets Going Topless : Jessica Brown Findlay

She earned international acclaim for her role as Lady Sybil Branson in ‘Downton Abbey,’ but before that, Jessica was a burgeoning, naive star baring it all in her first lead role for the movie ‘Albatross.’ A decision, she admits, she wishes she never made.

Jessica Brown Findlay opened up in a new interview about going topless on camera, revealing that she regrets it and would never do it again.

Jessica Brown Findlay: Topless In ‘Albatross’: ‘Not Something I Would Do Again’

The former (spoiler alert?) Downton Abbey star had her first leading role in the 2011 film, Albatross. The role required her to appear promiscuous and go topless. Looking back on the role, Jessica admits that she may have been too young to make such an impactful decision, and that she might do things differently if she got another chance.
“To be honest, Albatross was naivete and not knowing that I could say no,” she told the Radio Times. “I had no idea what was going to happen and thought I was going to be shot from behind.” She concludes assuredly, “It’s not something I would do again.”
Besides being completely aware of the circumstances, Jessica also had some other advice for aspiring actresses thinking about baring it all for a movie. “If you’re going to do a nude scene, be honest and natural,” she advises. “The idea that actresses would work out at the gym for a thousand hours beforehand… I was drinking pints and eating burgers.”
Jessica is an extremely talented actress, as we saw on Downton, and now it seems she’s a little wiser as well. She now knows that she has full control over what she does in a movie or TV show.
Her next role is alongside Will Smith, Russell Crowe, and Colin Ferrell in Winter’s Tale.
